Activities

The club take part in a variety of activities, out with club hours. Learn a little about them below.

Float Building & Bathgate Procession

Over the past six years, the club has been participating in the local Newlands Day (Gala-day) Procession. The club have built four floats and dressed up and walked twice.

Party Nights

Over the last few years, the club has held end of session parties.

These take place in June and December and help the two club sections to mix and get to know each other. Family and friends are also invited, to encourage connections and friendships out with the club.

Ceilidhs

Bathgate Fabb Club members are very fond of dancing and are rather good at it.

Over the years, the club has held many ceilidhs; some for special occasions and some just for the dancing.

Burn's Supper

Every year, the club holds a Burns Supper in January.

Family and friends are invited along, members and staff perform songs and poetry; and of course there is the traditional address to the haggis.

A burns supper also wouldn't be complete without the Scottish country dancing of course.

Weekends Away

Bathgate Fabb Club occasionally hold residential weekends away.

The club has visited an outdoor adventure centre in Keilder, to go canoeing and challenge themselves on outdoor assault courses.

They have stayed in log cabins in Aviemore where they took part in outdoor archery and visited a theme park.

In the past the senior club section visited Blackpool to experience the social aspects of holidays. They visited the tourist sites, danced in the famous ballroom, experienced museums and travelled around by tram.
