Meet The Members

Bathgate Fabb Club belongs to the young people who attend. So we'd like to take a minute to let you hear, about the club and the members themselves.

The Senior Club:

The senior club section is for members from 18 years old upwards. We currently do not have a firm age limit as, at present, there are no comparable services for those 30+ to move on to. This is an area that the club hope to look into in the future.

All junior members who feel they are ready to move up to the senior section are required to write (or be assisted to write) a small note to the committee stating why they think this is the best thing for them and what they expect when moving up.

Most of the current senior section members have progressed from the junior section and were looking forward to participating in more age appropriate activities.

The senior club has a big social aspect and a lot of focus is directed towards developing member's social and life skills to help them go forward in their everyday life. Specific social nights to pubs/restaurants are always a big hit and the members enjoy baking cakes and treats to share at their coffee nights.

The Junior Club:

The junior club section is for young people between the ages of 14-18 years old.

There are some junior members older than 18 as the club recognise that young people develop at different rates; therefore no member is automatically moved to the senior section until they feel they are ready to take that step.

The junior club mixes both fun and educational activities as part of the programme. Confidence building is key to the junior section and a lot of the activities, such as rock climbing and show and tell nights, are geared to enable the members to develop self confidence and teamwork.
